Infected Senses is the long on-going, perhaps trying too hard/not hard enough, DIY experimental side project for Kev Winser aka DJ Louie Louie and formally of bands too many to list.
From the 'art/concept/experimental collection 'one unit of music by-product; available else where on band camp, It's not the dance music, indie rock or punk album some may have expected, though as Billy Joel sang...'its still rock & roll to me'. it's also a far cry from the kind of things he normally plays out as a vintage club night host for 'Blow Your wig!' and as a resident DJ in Shangri-La at Glastonbury and Beautiful days festivals among others.
The name 'Infected senses sound system' is also used for the occasional times when Djing the more avant material, such as at the 'Music Is Murder' events and the recent 'Lost weekend' festival in Exeter.
This is a faux Kraut rocking, stereolab-ing retro instrumental featuring a clip from David Cronenberg's classic 80s horror, sci fi movie. 'Videodrome'. Like Damien Hurst's 'Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable' I Liked the idea of a new piece of music being made as if it were a great unknown or rare track uncovered from a thrift store or charity shop...see also the initial reaction to Stock Aitken & Waterman's 'Roadblock' from the late 80s? :)
